** WE HAVE STOPPED SHIPPING ANYTHING LARGER THAN FULL GAL IN BOUGAINVILLEA, AS
THEY HAVE A TENDENCY TO BREAK LIMBS...LARGER SPECIMENS IN STOCK CAN BE PICKED
UP AT NURSERY ONLY!!***
We offer BOUGAINVILLEA in
1" Starter Plugs that are 3"-7" tall, in small sizes great to
put up into a 4" pot or take 2-3 for a gallon pot or hanging basket. We also offer some varieties in 1-Gal, 3-Gal,
and 5-Gal. size plant.
Shipping: Plugs are in small cups and need to be planted in these cups with
roots able to extend from the bottom hole or from the top. Plant plug in cup in
good potting soil and keep moist and in partial shade for 10 days or so,
removing from the cups could damage tender roots and voids any guarantee.
Picture of starter plant in my hand gives you an idea of what size they are. Long bloom time from spring thru fall You can
use liquid fertilizer every other week or a slow release fertilizer a couple of
times a season This plant is very easy to grow, it will tolerate all types of
soil and watering, although enjoys slightly acid (5.5-6.5pH)soil and a dry/wet
type of watering. Remember that Bougainvilleas will grow new shoots and get
larger with good water and fertilizer, while restricting water and fertilizer
will have a tendency to initiate blooming.
Plants are shipped out on Mondays,
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and sometimes on Saturdays....Most plants will be sent
bare root wrapped in wet sphagnum moss and a plastic bag wrapped in tape for
security, and sent via USPS Priority Mail. When plants arrive be sure and soak
in water overnight and then plant. I take great care in wrapping plants to
assure they arrive safely, but sometimes the Post Office gets careless and
damages the package(See “Damage” under shipping).
